KW Suspensions KW Variant 3 Coilover of the Track Performance line.
These coilovers are perfect for those who use the car almost exclusively on the track but still need a set-up suitable for public roads.
Unlike the standard V3, the Clubsport features a specific internal calibration for use with semi-slick tyres. This setup was developed for the Nordschleife.
The height of the KW V3 is adjustable via ring nuts and the maximum lowering is between -45mm and -85mm compared to the original shock absorbers (depending on the car) and this gives the vehicle on which they are installed a sportier look.
The shock absorbers are of the "Twin tube" type.
The internal hydraulics are adjustable via knobs in extension thanks to TVR-A (Twin Valve Rebound) technology and in compression thanks to TVC-A (Twin Valve Compression) technology.
There are 16 clicks of rebound adjustment and 12 clicks of compression adjustment and this allows you to set the stiffness of the set-up based on the use of the car or the road you have to travel on. There is also a bypass valve with blowoff function capable of releasing hydraulics on deeper potholes or bumps to further increase comfort.
There are external tanks that contain oil and gas under pressure (depending on the car). The reservoirs allow the shock absorber to have more travel and are able to dissipate heat better in order to always obtain the same performance from the coilovers even in long sessions of use on the track.
There are uniball topmounts with the possibility of adjusting the camber (depending on the car).
The springs are stiffer than the originals and have the helper.
The shock absorber body is made of stainless steel to avoid corrosion.
The spring plate is made of polyamide with a stainless steel core. The spring plate acts on a thread external to the shock absorber body.
